Please follow the instructions to apply for Bachelor/Master/PhD Degrees in İstanbul Ticaret University.

Please be aware that all information that you wrote on the application form will be used for all official processes of your university registration. Therefore, please double check.

Undergraduate: Copies of your high school diploma, transcript and passport. Residence permit (if applicable), blue card (if applicable), language proficiency certificate (if applicable), exam results certificate (if applicable).

Master: Copies of your bachelor’s diploma, transcript and passport. Residence permit (if applicable), blue card (if applicable), language proficiency certificate (if applicable), exam result certificate (if applicable).

PhD: Copies of your bachelor’s and master’s degrees diplomas, transcripts and passport. Residence permit (if applicable), blue card (if applicable), language proficiency certificate (if applicable), exam results certificate (if applicable).

Please Note: If the above mentioned documents are in languages other than English or Turkish please make sure to translate them in order for our staff to properly evaluate them.

Students who wish to continue their education at our university after studying at another university must submit their original transcript from the current university, high school diploma, passport copy, and course description to the registrar’s office. Exemptions from courses will be based on the assessment and decision of the department. Students who wish to learn about their exemption status must contact the related department after registration.

Bachelor’s degree programs last overall 4 years.

Master (non-thesis) programs last overall 2 semesters.

Master (thesis) programs last overall 4 semesters.

PhD programs 8 semesters.

The Offer Letter is document prepared by the university for all the applicants. This letter contains every detail about the program duration, starting date and payment plan. Please read the letter carefully and make sure this letter CANNOT be used in Visa Application process.

This letter signifised that you are conditionally accepted at Istanbul Ticaret University. Requirements stated in the letter will need to be met before your official acceptance can be finalized.

The acceptance letter will be issued after receiving the deposit payment.

Please note: Your offer letter will be valid for ONE WEEK. The letter will be invalid in case the quota in your program is full.

  • Bachelor’s degree applications are only accepted in the fall semester.
  • Graduate degree applications are accepted in both fall & spring semester intakes.

Tuition, Payment and Scholarships

After the approval of your application, and the offer letter being sent, a non-refundable deposit of $ 500 should be paid to receive an acceptance letter.

The deposit is considered as a guarantee of the applicant’s intent to study at Istanbul Ticaret University. This deposit amount will be deducted from the first installment of the tuition fee for the registration.

NOTE: Name, surname and passport number of the student has to be notified on international student tuitition fee receipt and please keep the receipt of your payment in order to confirm your payment while registration process.

The scholarship exams for Bachelor Degree are planned to be announced before the beginning of Fall Semester.

The scholarship interviews for Graduate Degree programs are planned to be announced before the beginning of each semester (both Fall and Spring Semesters).

Student Visa Process

Official acceptance letter will be sent to you by e-mail, after completing your deposit payment.

And this will make you eligible to apply for the Student Visa in the nearest Turkish Embassy/Consulate.

Registration Process

If you didn’t graduate from a high school in Turkey you need to submit your equivalency certificate (Denklik belgesi) provided by the Ministry of National Education in Turkey to complete your registration process. Please check the link given below to the required documents of the equivalency certificate application. Please do not forget to complete the processes needed to be completed in your home country.

Others

The process of determining the equivalent class, field, branch or department of the documents obtained from private education institutions at the international primary and secondary educational level and at the schools opened by embassies in the country and from primary and secondary education institutions in Turkey and abroad is called equivalence.

Equivalence application is made through the e-Equivalence (e-Denklik) module.

Equivalence process is performed through the e-Equivalence (e-Denklik) module in the equivalency centers with the original documents of the person requesting the equivalence.

After registering you will be issued “STUDENT IDENTIFICATION CARD”. You will need this ID card to enter the campus and to use any facility on the campus, such as the library and computer rooms.

You can get your student ID card from International Office.

You will need to obtain a Student Certificate (Öğrenci Belgesi) for various administrative work, such as for the residence permit and student transportation card. You can obtain your student certificate by accessing and applying through the SIS system.

STUDENT CERTIFICATE

Student certificate is a document prepared to be given to any institution and shows the student status of the students registered in our university. Students can request this document up to 5 times in a semester using the OBS program.

TRANSCRIPT

Transcript is the grade status document that shows the final success status, semester and overall grade point averages of all the courses that the student received after completing his/her registration at the university. Students can request this document up to 5 times in a semester by using the OBS program during their student life.

You can create your student certificate and transcript requests through the OBS program as follows;

  1. Log in to the OBS program with your Username and Password.
  2. From the “Grades” tab, click on the “Document Requests” section.
  3. In the “Document Type and Description” section, write the type of document you request, your document language preference (Turkish or English) and, if any, the note you want to be indicated on it. For example: Student Certificate – Turkish – No Disciplinary Punishment.
  4. In the ” Number of Copies” section, specify how many documents you want.
  5. Click the “Continue” button.
  6. Please do not forget to click on the “Submit” button at the end of the process to complete your application
  7. When creating a document request, you must clearly indicate which document you want in which language in the “Document Type and Description” section. Otherwise, your document request will not be considered.
  8. In order for you to receive the documents you have requested, please also indicate your active e-mail address.
  9. Our active students can also obtain their student certificate and transcript requests via “e-devlet” application.

NOTE: The documents you have requested to be sent to your email address will be sent to your e-mail address within 3 working days.

You can log in to the OBS system with your username and password. Your username is your ID number and your password is your student number. Student mail is defined as ’’name.surname@istanbulticaret.edu.tr’’. You can log in to your student e-mail with your ID number.

Health insurance is mandatory when applying for the residence permit in Turkey. You can either apply for a private insurance or public one from the government institution called as SGK.

Students want to continue their education at our university after studying at another university must consult with the Faculty/Institute they wish to study.

If you want to connect to the guest wifi (Ticaret-Misafir), you connect to the internet with a code sent to your mobile phone. You can also connect students’ wifi (Ticaret-Ogrenci). You can log in with your username (name.surname) and password (your OBS password) to access the university’s student WiFi.

Our university does not offer on-campus dormitories. However, Foreign Student Communication and Dormitories Unit Acting Manager Mesut Olgun can help you to find accomodation alternatives. You can contact him with his email: molgun@ticaret.edu.tr

Students can visit any of IETT application centers or kiosks, to apply for the discounted student transportation card.
